Kintija Chemali

She is leading the Global Digital Experience at Cabot Corporation and has a wealth of experience developing diverse marcomm efforts for a wide variety of industries, including such prestigious higher education institutions as the American University of Beirut and University of Maryland. Additionally, Kintija has lead award winning international campaigns, including “Transforming business thinking in the MENA region” and UN-Women/UNDP campaign on Anti-sexual Harassment in Lebanon. Kintija holds an M.A. in Public Relations from Ball State University and a B.S. in Mass Communications/Journalism from the University of Wisconsin. While passionate about the higher education field, Kintija also enjoys cooking and exploring world foods, wines, and is a self-taught wild mushroom hunter. Her daughter Mia Sienna is in CM2.

Laura Gatavs

She has been involved in the Ecole Jules Verne school matters already since her kids started to attend the school in 2009. She has been part of the Board during the challenging process when the school was registered within Latvian authorities and as well when school received its first French accreditation by AEFE. Therefore, she already has thorough knowledge of both French and Latvian systems. She is a legal professional with extensive local and international experience –both in Latvia and abroad. This has helped her to cope with legal challenges from different legal systems. She works on the stability of the classes of the collège(primary school/pamatskola, classes 5-9) and proper development and accrediationof lycée by both French and Latvian system (secondary school/vidusskola, classes 10-12).

Christoph Liechti

Christoph co-heads in job-sharing the Swiss Contribution Office in Riga for Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In this function, he manages the cooperation programmes of the three countries in all aspect, including finance, human development, stakeholder engagement, policy dialogue and risk management. One project is about improving the Vocational Education and Training in Latvia.

Christoph previously worked in finance and consulting. He has a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Geneva Graduate Institute in Switzerland and the University of Granada in Spain. He is holder of a CFA diploma.

Christoph has been a volunteer for the Swiss “Youth and Sports” Association, leading mountain and winter sports excursions for passionate youngsters.

He has two kids at the school (2017 and 2019).

Christoph’s native tongue is Swiss-German and he is passionate about French.

Linda Būmeistere

She is the Head of Internal audit for a state JSC and has a broad experience in auditing both in the private and public sector in Latvia and abroad. She has recently worked in the European Commission in Brussels, studied in École de Management ESCEM in Poitiers, France, has a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Latvia and is a supporter of a high-quality, modern and multilingual education. 

Her experience of working in multicultural environments and passion about open communication and collaboration are great assets for work on the school Board. 

Her kids Edvarts and Matilde are currently in the CM1 and GS classes.
